Most marks are lost not to English itself but to the format: an unstructured essay or a Part 2 that falls apart. That is why we drill the format until it is automatic
Preparation usually takes from 3 to 9 months: from Upper-Intermediate to a strong band takes 3–4 months, from Intermediate closer to 6–9. The exact time depends on your starting point and target band, so in the first lesson we run a level check and build a plan around your exam date.
The test has four compulsory modules. Total duration is 2 hours 45 minutes. Two formats are available: Paper-based and Computer-delivered.
All parts except Speaking are usually taken on the same day. Speaking may be scheduled on the same day or within a week before/after the main date.
An IELTS certificate is valid for two years; it is accepted by over 12,500 organisations in more than 140 countries.

There is no universal "pass" score: the requirement depends on your goal and should always be checked against the official rules of the specific institution or programme. The typical ranges are as follows.
