What level can I start from?
Any level — from absolute zero (Beginner / A1) to Proficiency (C2). Many of our students start after a long break or completely from scratch.Before you start, you take a placement test, and then we match the format and teacher to your goals and current level
How long does the placement test take?
Usually around 5 minutes. There is no time limit.It is a short grammar test in the British system. No preparation is needed — we want to see your real level
How long does it take to learn English?
It depends on your level and how regularly you study. If you study twice a week, most adult students reach confident conversational English (B1–B2) in about 1.5–2 years.First results in speaking are usually noticeable much earlier
What lesson formats do you offer?
• Group lessons — 2–6 participants, twice a week, 90 minutes per lesson, all levels available.• Individual lessons — one-on-one with a teacher, 60 minutes per lesson (Business English, English for IT, IELTS/TOEFL preparation).
• Corporate training — for companies
How much does a lesson cost?
Group lessons — from UAH 595 (with a 6-month package — from UAH 475 per lesson).Individual lessons — from UAH 680 (with a 50-lesson package — from UAH 540 per lesson).

Can I start with a single lesson to try it out?
Yes. You can pay for a single lesson, and then top up to a package or continue paying lesson by lessonWhat if I miss a lesson?
A missed lesson is not lost — we reschedule it if you let us know at least 24 hours in advance.A lesson cancelled on the day it was due counts as held.

Which platform do you use for lessons?
Zoom or Google Meet, plus interactive online platforms for learning.All materials, homework and textbooks are in a shared online workspace
Do I need to turn on my camera?
Preferably yes — it helps you progress faster in spoken English.But we are understanding about this — sometimes students connect from work or while on the move
Is there homework?
Yes, but without overload. The assignments help you consolidate the material faster and are designed for working adults with limited timeWho are your teachers?
Teachers with specialised education, extensive experience and a high level of modern English.Most importantly, they know how to work with adults — without school-style pressure or an uncomfortable atmosphere
Do you offer lessons with a native English speaker?
Yes: one-to-one lessons with a native speaker, corporate training and some Speaking Club meetings. They are most useful from B1 level upwardsCan I study from abroad?
Yes. Many of our students study online from Poland, Germany, the United Kingdom, the USA, Canada, Israel and other countries.All you need is an internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone
Do you prepare for IELTS and TOEFL?
Yes. IELTS Academic, IELTS General and TOEFL iBT.For international exam preparation we usually recommend individual lessons. It is best to start at Intermediate (B1) or higher
Do you also teach Ukrainian to foreigners?
Yes, one-to-one Ukrainian lessons online, with a teacher who explains in English at first.Before you start, read how long it takes to learn Ukrainian, how the Ukrainian alphabet works, what the B1 state exam for citizenship looks like and which phrases expats need first
How long have you been running?
My English by Business Language has been running since 2005.In over 20 years we have taught more than 27,000 students. We used to operate offline in Kharkiv and now work fully online
